There is the old saying "write what you know" that all authors take to heart. Being not just a writer, but an artist as well, I take the adage one step further and create illustrations for something I am writing so I can not just describe it in words, but visually see it as well. Below are some of the drawings I have done for pieces I am currently working on.
Sihmarán Artwork - A Bit of Science Fiction
The illustrations here are for a scifi novel I've been working on for years now. The first one you see is a diagram I created for a vessel one of my lead characters is in command of. I truly enjoyed putting this together, no matter how tedious it felt at times.
