I’ve always been a big fan of the ALIEN franchise and I couldn’t resist doing a poster for the 2nd film in the series. It’s iconic in a lot of ways, so I wanted to capture that and challenge myself in doing it all in two tones in adobe illustrator.
I drew Ripley and the girl up first, since she is my main focus. I then did up the xenomorph enough to try and figure out how to blend the two together. I think that, overall was my biggest challenge, to make them work like they are blending into one another but still remain three separate entities.
